Welcome to the world, Baby Greenleigh!

La Gringa would like to extend a hearty congratulations to good pals Viking Warrior Princess and Hexboy (aka Jen and Evan) on the birth of their first child, Baby Girl Greenleigh Leslie. Baby Greenleigh was slow to exit the confines of Viking Warrior Princess's netherparts, so bribes and negotiations ensued. Finally, after much cajoling, Baby Greenleigh made her grand entrance into this world, sans feather boas or tattoos (sadly, as feather boas and tattoos are her mother's favorite accessories). Baby Greenleigh weighed in at hefty 9 pounds 10 ounces, a true Junior Viking Warrior Princess!

It never fails to amuse me that newborn hats, bulb suctions (a.k.a. snot-suckers), etc. are exactly the same, no matter where you go.

I'm sure there are hundreds of pictures of my own disembodied blue-gloved hands holding a variety of newborns in that same chapeau. *snort*

Congratulations to your friends. You may give them my professional opinion that Greenleigh is adorable. ;)

From one viking princess to another, I say CONGRATS! And I might add that Greenleigh is so freakin adorable that my uterus aches ;-)

That is one rockin' looking kid! She's wearing a feather boa in her heart, I'm sure.

It's up to her parents of course, but I am a firm believer in the rule of no tats before twelve years of age. I'm just old school that way.

I have a sudden urge to create and market a Baby's First Tattoo kit. Because the expression on her face? Is screaming for two fulls sleeves, a battle axe, and a loud and vulgar oath regarding Valhalla.
