Planet of the Cats.

This long weekend I'm busy catching up on all queries and partials from prior to August 15th so in lieu of actual content, you get this. If you're an animal person, this video is guaranteed to warm the cockles of your heart. (Whatever those are.) If you're allergic to cats, however, this video may just kill you dead. So don't watch it.

Need more kitty goodness? Visit the official website for The Cat House on the Kings, the shelter featured in the video.

She's got my attention and a donation.

We're restricted on cats where we live, but we are feeding a couple of the ferals in the neighborhood. We've tried to invite them in, but these are truly wild cats. So, the best we can do is provide the shelter under our deck and food to keep them fed.

Thanks for posting the video.

By the way, if you don't reply to my query (sent Aug 4) by tomorrow, does that mean I should requery?

And P.S. Our indoor kitty is FIV, so I doubly admire the cat lady's efforts.

Gee, and I thought I was bad a few years back, with 4 cats, a 125 lb. dog, and 5 pet rats.

It's wonderful that she's been able to do this and keep it up for so long. It kills me when people dish out huge chunks of change for pedigree animals when there are so many animals euthanized each year because they can't find a home.

This is amazing! She has my dream job. To house 500 cats and make a living as a full time writer would be HEAVEN! 8^) My only concern is for other wildlife on her property. There probably isn't any. We keep our 3 cats indoors at all times out of respect and love for birds and chipmunks. The big guy we allow out under strict supervision only because he's too enormous to hop the fence.

OK, that makes me feel much better about my five cats... LOL

Seriously, this was wonderful. She is truly special. If I were a cat, I would want to live there!
