Which brings to mind the obvious question: Whom does popular culture turn to now to give their collective "Oh, c'mon!" raised eyebrow?
(And don't say Tom Cruise because I believe Andrew Morton.)
Does anybody find it odd/interesting that the TMZ-type celebrutard entertainment media has changed/(d)evolved from "Gotcha!" outings ala Troy Donahue to passive-aggressive "Oh whatEVER" outings ala Richard Simmons and David Gest?
Is this better or worse? And in this day and age isn't this a bit like saying "hey, did you know Pat Morita was... an ASIAN? Srsly."
I dunno. I'm just glad that when I enjoy a Melissa Etheridge song, people no longer feel obligated to inform me that she's gay. Though I do miss my standard response of "I wonder why she hasn't hit on ME yet?"
i hear you on the yawn . . . but, still, how wonderful will it be that a singer won't need to come out years into his career because it'll be so situation normal it would be like madonna coming out in saying she isn't a natural blonde??? . . . (and clay lives in north carolina, and it is scary bible belt frothing and gnashing down here :)

Oh my God. I had noooooo idea. This is such a surprise.
Serioulsy. Yawn. But is it just me, or does he look like that special fellow from LA Law in that picture? Not being insensitive here, I'm just sayin'.
My thoughts exactly!
Perhaps he wanted to clear things up after the birth of his child. For himself, not the rest of the planet.
Oh, and the Titanic sinks in the movie.
And LiLo *is* dating SamRo. So glad we cleared that up.
Was it a slow news day or something? Crikey!
Are you kidding me? This is the best that People can come up for a cover shot?
I'm getting way too cynical. I need to lighten up and enjoy the "surprise" of finding out that Clay is gay.
Note to self: lighten up!
haha. at least he doesn't have to feel defensive about his sexuality anymore, though. so kudos to him... i guess
Let yo' freak flag fly, Clayton!
