He lived a good life. I'm grateful for what he's shared.
He was wonderful. For the last few years every time there'd be a mention of him I'd think, "It's so good to have him around."My kids know him as Doc Hudson. And the salad guy. And the old fella that still makes mom --and grandma-- sigh.Time to show them why he was so famous in the first place.
My favorite role of his was as Sully in the movie version of Richard Russo's Nobody's Fool. Anyone who hasn't seen it, or read the novel should make it a point to do so.
he was a great man. I cried yesterday when i heard the news. I normally don't cry over old people who died (when it was their time to go) but Paul Newman was REALLY a great man.
My heart just broke when I heard the news. My granddaddy had "Paul Newman Eyes" as my granny used to say. Beautiful man all around.
So sad - he's always been one of my favorites, on and off screen.
