Free Charlie Huston e-books!

Yeah, you heard that right. Some of you out there may know my pal Charlie Huston for his marvelously gruesome vampire noir series, The Joe Pitt Casebooks. But Charlie actually started out his publishing career with another series that's just as much fun, the Hank Thompson Trilogy, hard-boiled crime fiction featuring the world's unluckiest bartender/former baseball player. If you like your crime fiction with wicked smart dialogue, a side of nasty sarcasm, sheer mayhem and an everyday hero who's a sucker for stray cats, well, then Hank Thompson's your guy. And now you lucky bastards get to read all three of these books for free!

Monsters & Critics
and Ballantine Books are teaming up over the next three months to give away free PDF copies of all three books in the Hank Thompson Trilogy: Caught Stealing (a book that I literally read in like, AN HOUR and then was like HOLYCRAPTHISBOOKISAMAZING!!!), Six Bad Things and A Dangerous Man.

You can download Caught Stealing right now and for the rest of this month; November will be a free download of Six Bad Things and December a free download of A Dangerous Man. There's more free stuff and a contest and a chance to win Charlie's forthcoming novel The Mystic Arts of Erasing All Signs of Death.

(And then after you read them all and are completely stunned and amazed by the sheer awesome force that is Charlie Huston, you can come back here so I can say "Told ya so.")

Cheers. The only thing I like better than stolen literature is free literature.
