1. I will tie David Ten-Inch down before I let him quit. I won't go into details, but suffice to say, it won't be pretty. Unless you're really into that sort of thing.2. It's Paterson Joseph, not Joseph Paterson! He was in a couple of Eccleston eps--up against Rose in the Weakest Link game. He also played the Marquis de Carrabas in Neverwhere. Yes, I'm pulling all of this out of my memory. Bow before my geekitude.3. Make it a cider, and I'll join you in that weeping. Sigh. I really wish I could crack the six-pack in the fridge now. Stupid medications.
*joins La Gringa in weeping, and she doesn't even drink beer*I used to watch Classic Who sort of half-attentively over the shoulders of my partner and our housemate. Once New Who came along, I was all "ooh hey young sexy angsty Doctor with romance on the side? SIGN ME UP".And all the more so when we shifted over to Tennant. 'Cause I mean, DAMN.I shall miss him with a mighty, mighty missing. He will be an extremely hard act to follow. I have faith that whoever Eleven will wind up being, he'll be awesome, especially with Moffat at the helm. But I'll still be missing Tennant!-- Angela, aka annathepiper on Livejournal, since LJ doesn't seem to want to let me sign in via OpenID right now
Not to mention the hair. Good God, the man has amazing hair!!!
It was indeed the hair that made me sit up and go "ooh hey he's CUTE" during The Christmas Invasion.Sniff. I may have to go back and watch that one all over again. And then write Doctorfic.
I gawked at my screen in quiet horror when I saw the news earlier today! It was expected, but I'm still so upset by it. :(
Dammit. I want him to stay. For both fantastic storytelling reasons and fangirly fodder-for-fantasies reasons. Damn. My favorite.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love David! This is cruel!
No, say it ain't so. I'm definitely going to cry now.
Ah, crap. I didn't mean to mimick the title of your post. When David first became the Doctor, I remember him asking Rose, "Am I ginger? I always wanted to be ginger." I could definitely go for a red haired doctor. You didn't really feel the chemistry between the Doctor and Rose until Tennant picked up the part. Man, now I'm bummed. Isn't there Halloween candy somewhere?
Amanda, that whole "Am I... ginger?" scene with him and Rose was pretty much what sealed the deal for me when Tennant took over the role. I loved that bit so much. I'm definitely going to have to rewatch the episode. Possibly all of the entire Series 2!
It was bound to happen, but I was hoping it would have been MUCH MUCH later. And my husband was certain they were going to write a storyline about how that fab hair was actually an alien slowly taking over the Doctor... I mean just look at it! It just keeps getting bigger & bigger, dominating his head!
"Hi, I'm David. I'm here to take you from behind." Did anyone else see him on the Graham Norton show? He's hilarious. That's also where I first heard he was leaving, from Catherine Tate. But I was hoping he would change his mind. Sniff. Sniff. My word verification is squally, which seems particularly appropriate.
