Ulysses said...: A number of years ago, before we came down with a severe case of children, my wife and I went to the aquarium in Vancouver. They had a pair of sea otters in a tank outside. When we saw them, they were floating on their backs, almost asleep, eyes closed, although the male would occasionally open his at a loud noise. They were lying side-by side, and they had their forepaws wrapped around each other like they were holding hands.

Perhaps not as cute as a baby, but still quite an affecting image. I have a picture of it somewhere...; December 19, 2008 at 10:44 AM
