Those Caldecott Medal books are so pretentious. I only let my children read books that will crush them like The Soviet Frowning Handbook for Dispirited Children. I also take them on factory tours for boring products like plastic caps and cardboard packaging.
That trailer is truly extraordinary, and I love the book. I also saw the amazing Watchmen movie in the theater today, and thoroughly enjoyed that graphic novel.
Seeing Watchmen movie + that trailer on the same day = Priceless. :)
I saw this yesterday when we took our son and his friend to see "Monsters vs. Aliens" and was blown away. I can't wait for this. I hope it's as amazing as it looks.

yep, it looks good!
I saw this for the first time last night on TV. I definitely need to take my girls to see this one! Love it!
Even the trailer made me weepy! I am *so* taking my kids to see this one.
Wow. It looks like they got the look right, at the very least. :)
I've read this book countless time as a child and later as I worked with kids. I especially enjoyed reading it with the boys I used to nanny.
I'm glad they went with LIVE-action...
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is also being produced right now, but I believe they're going with animation.
Best. Kids. Book. Evah.
Okay, tied for first. Have you ever read Mercer Meyer's One Monster After Another? If not, you know, you should. :)
My best,
Bryan Russell

Sex Mahoney for President
I love this trailer. A printout of the poster with Max screaming is on my desk at work.

Yeah, it's nice that the muppets got work. Excuse me, but this isn't extraordinary. Sure, I'll put the movie on my Netflix list, but that's about it.
OMG, thanks for posting this! I didn't even know about it. My all-time fav book. =)
