I'm heading off to the Pennwriters Conference in Pittsburgh on Thursday morning. And while I do plan to wear grown-up and professional clothes from my ankles up, from my ankles down, it's all about comfort. And comfort means Converse All-Star sneakers. (How can you not love a shoe you can throw in the wash?)
So now I need help choosing: which pair of Converse All-Stars do I bring to the conference? (I'll be wearing a black suit.)

definitely neon-green-- that's my fave color and I also have Converse high tops in that color.
I went for the Neon Green High-tops too. If there's a power cut, you'll be able to find your feet in the dark.
Man, the rugby stripe is classic, and hip at the same time. Great colors too. I wish I had a pair like that. The last ones I had were orange. Well, until I drew all over them they were orange. I should get another pair and paint on them...
Still stand by my Twitter choice - the Rugby-Stripe Lowtops. :)
It was a tough decision between neon green and fuchsia...just wanted to let ya know..
This is absolutely awesome...I LOVE CHUCKS! I even have one at the bottom of my blog...LOL
I posted, then realized I spelled it wrong, so deleted. And then I realized you spelled it wrong too, but I feel bad for pointing it out. It's spelled Fuchsia.
I still think that color will look sharp with a black suit though!
I soooo love Chucks. My gift to myself when I finished my book were a pair of black low tops. They make me feel like such an a$$ kicker. When/if I get an agent I want some pink ones. Are the high tops comfortable? *Really* comfortable?
And yes, my profile picture has always been a pair of black Chucks.
I think the fuschia will look best with a black suit. In any case, you must post pictures afterwards!
Converse sneakers are indeed a classic. The neon orange low tops got my vote.
Whichever you choose, kudos to your wise decision to give your feet the gift of Converse style and comfort.
Sorry I can't attend the Pennwriters Conference! So close, yet so broke!
Fuschia for sure. It makes a statement. I mean, if you're going to wear shoes that stand out, they might as well really stand out! It shows that you were confident in your choice. You did this on purpose, and not as an accidental fashion faux pas.
Orange and neon green would serve the same purpose, but I prefer fuschia. It's also fun to say and hard to spell. :)
Heh. And clearly I can't spell it, either. Hee.
Fuchsia, eh? Who knew? If you sound that out, it's much more entertaining, anyway. :)
Go fuchsia, its laid back and comfy color. Lime Green would be a go if you are screeming for attention. Brown and black together if a toughy, sometimes they just don't get along.
I chose fuchsia...'cause that was the best choice. But I've really gotta say that camo hi-tops would be best with black. Might be worth getting a new pair?
Green. Go for the post-nuclear gusto!
Nothing screams "professional" like fuchsia hightops, (or, as my fashion designer daughter refers to the very same color--Hollywood Cerise.) I agree, comfort rules. Can't think worth a crap with sore feet.
We're all about orange at our house, although I do adore pink. But, um, what team are you cheering for?
Plum-crazy purple...and maybe a matching tie.
Fuchsia shoes/black suit says I am woman, hear me roar, do what I say.
Lisa, sounding Fuchsia out in my head is how I remember how to spell it!
Rock the rugby strip no socks with pant legs rolled up. Will you be posting/tweeting pics of said shoes?
Need more information - surely it's more about the top and trainer combination?
DMs for me all the way - purists call it ox-blood while I prefer the description terracotta - I'm an earth-tones 'dresser' (porcalain is so this year!)
1 neon-green with acid yellow
2 fuschia with orange
3 really couldn't recommend the brown/orange with the black - except with matching brown top (that is classic but a touch 'safe')
4 neon-orange with fuschia
Please post picture - I'll need to know now - hardly sleep for wondering!
blue and gold are the state colors :)
Green. Must be green, no doubt. Green goes with everything.
I'm a Pennwriter. Does my vote count double?
Or....may I suggest? Clear Chuck Taylors that glow in the dark and you can wear bright neon socks according to your mood.
